There is a lot happening instore at the moment.
Some of it is behind the scenes, some exciting things still in early planning stages,
and many of our new season ranges are starting to arrive.
Time for some fresh new store displays!
This one is centred around some of the new Designers Guild Astrakhan fabric and wallpaper collection.
The more I play with this minty jade green colour, the more I love it.
We all have colours that we naturally gravitate towards, and those we don't.
I'm a blue girl through and through, and although I always love a pop of green, it usually tends to be more at the chartreuse end of the spectrum.
Herein lies today's lesson - sometimes it's good to challenge ourselves with something a
little out of our comfort zones. The end result is often a surprisingly happy one!
And, as is so often the way, once you have something to begin with - in this case the colour - it's amazing how other items suddenly work so well with it. It's as if you are literally seeing them in a different light (or colour).
Elements of display.
A little bit vintage, a little bit upcycled, a little bit handmade, a little bit contemporary.
A little bit whimsical, a little flower or two (don't you love the handmade mexican crepe paper flowers), a pop of colour.
It's the best mix. Works every time.
And just as good at home.
PS The beautiful bright contemporary painting on the lower shelf is the work of our own
lovely Zana. You can find her etsy store - Zana Lokmer Design - here...
