I am in absolutely no doubt that cleaning up after a sale is much harder than setting up for it in the first place. Zana & I took one look at the task before us this morning and decided we needed fortification with more coffee in order to tackle it.
By days end we had dealt to most of the remains, given the vacuum cleaner a really good workout, and even started to think about the next step - refreshing all the store displays.
That starts tomorrow. And that will be the fun part!
For me anyway.
Home or store, I always think that moving things around re-energises and invigorates, and keeps everything interesting. Life would all be incredibly boring if we kept things same old, same old all the time. This is completely different from out with the old, in with the new, because hopefully, you only have things around you which you really love, be they old or new treasures, so I'm not for an instant suggesting you throw them out. But moving those things around, adding another layer of colour or texture, challenging yourself to change it up, or use something unexpectedly or differently will give your room a whole new look & feel.
And speaking of colour...
I thought this stunning new season Designers Guild upholstery-weight Padua ombre linen, and these gorgeous shibori-style tie dye linen cushions, match almost perfectly with the flowers on my kitchen bench at the moment.
Co-incidence? Such a happy one!
