Thank heavens for peonies.
They are so truly luscious and beautiful, that even the worst photos look instantly better somehow.
(Note to self - Do not attempt photoshop tutorial on a Monday night.
Particularly when photos are revealed as less than brilliant & it is too dark to take more.)
Here's the thing...
I have had more than a few hints dropped about showing a few more images of my (almost) newly completed home on my blog.
Especially from a few lovely blog readers who have been instore.
And
then one of my team reminded me that I had been playing the renovation
game all year, so it really was only fair that I show the end results.
Confession time.
I'm a little nervous!
What if you don't like it?
I know that it shouldn't matter.
My home is totally my style, and I love it.
And OMG, it is now worlds from where we started, back in March.
So here is a little look at the bathroom.
It's a little bit vintage and a little bit new, a little bit classic and a little bit contemporary.
White subway tiles on two walls, oversize wallpaper on another.
Industrial steel, glossy white paint & marble mixed together on the vanity.
My upcycled ball jar light, alongside modern Kartell wall lights.
A bath that is heavenly, especially when filled with bubbles, and a shower that is all business.
So there you go.
Peonies and the bathroom.

I think, if you want me to be honest......that this is totally unfair. I want to see the ENTIRE bathroom....(whole house actually). These peeks at the wall paper and lights and bathtub are NOT enough to satisfy my nosy self and leave me dying to see you reveal more of your obvious talent.

My favourite homes are the ones stamped with their owner's personality. The wallpaper is divine, and that bath and basin, and the taps, and the lights, and the peonies... I so want to do my bathroom now!!! Good job. xxx

ReplyDeleteTwo thoughts immediately came into my head (after I moved past a rash case of peony jealously) - 1. THAT wallpaper is utterly beautiful 2. Would you consider allowing me to come over for a bath in your ridiculously divine tub...please... I hesitate to say I'd love to see more of your home, as I'm worried I may want to move in...

Gorgeous! Every bit as fabulous as I knew it would be. . . the mix of styles is so well done, and makes it totally yours, at the same time it shows anyone who is a little timid about mixing- it-up how successful it can be. I would be in that bath until I was thoroughly prune like, it would be so hard to move from such a stunning space. More please, keep the show n tell coming. xx
