After being out in the cold for a little while, it seems that blue is back with a vengeance when it comes to the interior scene.
True blue - cobalt, sky, azure, hyacinth.
Mixed with plenty of white, these blues have a fresh and modern look.
Mixed with plenty of white, these blues have a fresh and modern look.
And why does blue have the reputation for being cold?
As these images proclaim, while it can be cool, blue needn't be cold.
Mix these blues with any interior style, and they'll be in perfect harmony.
Call me old-fashioned, but I've always sung the blues.
Probably always will. Do you have a favourite colour?

Oh, be still my beating heart! You darling girl, Amanda, for collecting all this loveliness here for us. Ditto Miss Melissa's comments. Goodness, we share such similar tastes! J x
ReplyDeleteoh that was a visual feast....I actually want to decorate our bedroom in a pale blue.....actually I have several fav colours, teal and brown, and aqua and red (I want our new kitchen to be this colour) after our 1950's kitchen colour combo
ReplyDeleteBlue has always been my favourite and I think it always will be. These images are beautiful! X
ReplyDeleteSimply gorgeous. I LOVE those cups from Pia Jane Bijkerk's blog, and I've got her book "My heart wanders" on my wish list now - thanks.
ReplyDeleteAmanda I just popped in to say how absolutely gorgeous your comment was about your glamorous coupes and parents. (Because I bet they were every bit as stylish as the coupes!)
ReplyDeleteBut now that I am here, I also have to tell you I am in love with the designers guild fabric in that top image. The whole room, actually. In fact, I think I am in love with this whole post! Such lovely images, and blue, of course, just happens to be my favourite colour. And not just because it is my surname!
