blurred vision

This week has rushed by in something of a blur. Reality has set in as we contemplate the logistics of moving the store in a tight timeframe, without too much disruption, and with high expectations of the end result. Nothing seems to add up!
Throw in a curveball in the form of a total computer meltdown and I'm wondering if someone is trying to tell me something. Oh yes, and I mean total meltdown, as in TOTAL - goodbye store inventory, goodbye contacts list, quotes, invoices, reports, every last little thing. Fabulous. I can't even begin to think about how this can be rectified.
And is now a good time to remind me of the importance of more regular external backups?
No, it is not.
So our photoshoot today was a very welcome distraction.
The masterpiece main event put together by Jo to proclaim our move was indeed a masterpiece. She's such a clever girl! A few tweaks, and it will reveal all about our new location.
I just fiddled around with flowers and wallpaper for a very minor masterpiece, and fetched scones and coffee.
An army never marchs on an empty stomach or something like that!

  1. How awful when you lose your work like like. Computers are maddening. You can take it to a "fix it" place and they can recover your data for you. (hubby is in the business)

    Good luck.

  2. Oh poor you! Computers are a curse. Is there any chance that some IT whiz could salvage your hard disk? I'm looking forward to seeing your moving publicity photos, and wish I were there to help.

  3. Amanda...not that it helps, but tearing my hair out for you over here! I'm sure there'll be a solution somewhere. And how good are you to find pleasure in things amidst all that....good on you :) And think how wonderful it will be when everything is in place in your new place.

  9. Gosh I think your luck should all turn for the better now. Thanks for the sneak peak with the photo shoot. I have been faffing around with my camera under our skylight trying to photograph string and balloons. It's great to see how the real photographers do it. Good luck for the new location.

  10. Oh Amanda things can only get better. You only have to have a computer meltdown once and you never forget to back up again. This is the voice of experience over here- unfortunately. Good luck with the rest of the week:)
