I don't still mean to be on my chartreuse bandwagon, but this new Designers Guild Baudard rug has really caught my eye. And especially as it is distinctly cooler outside tonight, with a gentle autumnal breeze blowing (read gale force) I'm thinking a rug underfoot would be especially cozy and appealing. Actually tonight I'm so tired I think I could just curl up on it. Rather beautiful don't you agree?

It's lovely. I've been looking at their rugs lately as well - the children's ones are ever so appealing. I wish there were somewhere here where I could see them before ordering online. I imagine they are perfectly dense and fluffy?
ReplyDeleteI agree with Mise you need to feel a rug underfoot before buying but I am sure it is great quality. I wonder about those patterned rugs - would you tire of it? or is it no different to a patterned curtain? xoxo
ReplyDeleteOh I love this rug Amanda. I am not usually a 'rug person' but as with you, I am feeling the cooler weather tonight! I do love the gorgeous colour and pattern:) Hope you get some rest tonight my friend ~ Tina x
ReplyDeleteMise - I can vouch for them - wonderfully dense thick pile and ever so nice to lounge about or play on. The kid's ones are such fun.
ReplyDeleteBy all means, stay on your bandwagon! I am loving it! That rug is lovely, subtle enough that it blends beautifully, but still is a great feature... Yum.

Very beautiful indeed. Understand that tired feeling...wouldn't mind curling up on that little number myself. Would you share?
ReplyDeleteI am seeing a lot of yellow and gray together lately. The design on this rug is fabulous. A lot must go into designing a rug like this..
ReplyDeleteDear Amanda,
ReplyDeleteYou definitely have to have something Chartreuse, even if it's only the drink !!!! haha.
I am very much like Jane. I can never bring myself to have patterned things, as I know that I will tire of it very quickly.... but, that's just me. One of my good friends has pattern everywhere in her home and, it looks wonderful. You go for it. XXXX
I agree, very beautiful. It would be beautiful in front of my fireplace. A girl can dream... :)
ReplyDeleteHit the pile I say!! Rugs are IT in France - they go with all the flagstone floors that you see in all these wonderfully drafty houses ;-). Tricia's done it again!
ReplyDeleteStunning choice Amanda! Certainly not surprised though! xxx
ReplyDeleteGorgeous rug! Love the yellow and gray, and it's so fabulously, luxuriously retro!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely agree-it's stunning!
